Can anyone recommend a good sleeping medication that works? It would be nice to have on hand when this happens.
That’s the one thing that I have trouble with when mania hits is getting to sleep. Like its 530am and I’m wide awake and I have to get up for work at 8am.
I’ve done this numerous times before but it just gets old…
Sometimes it’s just a matter of being proactive when the mania hits and getting a med tweak from your pdoc. Worth talking to your doctor about when to up your own meds and maximum dosages. When to ask for more help etc. Doing some kind of medication and symptom management courses also.

When I hit that high rate mania a few months ago… even after the fever, my doc told me to increase the Seroquel. I didn’t take any OTC sleep aids or sleeping pills…
Maybe I should have.
I was still getting some sleep… but even with sleeping pills… when I feel too good to sleep… it’s hard to make myself take the pills.
