what would be your most fulfilling life? any ideas?
where i would be fully in control of my eating habits and have irl friends
and recovered….
I’d say the life I’m living now.
it’s nice you’ve realized this. i am still struggling at what i want.
sounds good. a healthy relationship with food, good friends, peace of mind through recovery.
Fix my frame of mind and center, then some e-commerce stuff for 7 hours a day, and some pet projects the rest of the day. When I feel freer, replace the pet project stuff with socializing and find a girlfriend to wife. Buy a house and car. Have kids. More projects. Fill up the life with activity. You know how it goes.
I was fulfilled in my 20s.
Friends, jobs, girlfriends. Whatever I wanted.
I think the people that you know/hang around with make you fulfilled.
i know i want a house. a condo would be preferable if i could afford it for maintanance reasons. i want to be able to get by without a car and be able to freely ride my bicycle. i guess i want to max out an ABLE account which means stable employment, but work does not fulfill me, it’s left me with a bitter feeling, like i was never appreciated and replaceable. i want a loyal employer i guess. a girlfriend or wife would be good but i don’t want kids. good music helps fill the lull time. physical and mental health are aspirations of mine sometimes and a long life. im still not sure though if things will be bring me fulfillment. i want to travel when possible as this seems to be the only time i feel alive when im out living on a whim. and also i would like to spend less time on the internet and more time living the ups and downs of life. i have been very sedentary the last 4 years, and i get a little dissatisfied. also maybe someday i will get past the negatives and finally master an instrument or at least learn a few songs on the guitar.
You are the personality of the 5 people you hang around most. But you should also learn how to like yourself in private. That is how most of life is.
yeah good company helps. i never realized how good i had it when i was in my 20’s. i didnt have a care in the world for better or worse.
i think i would also like to complete an education some day just for my own pride, but it’s a little late in the game to make much of a career. if money allows and i have enough free time to study, making the grade provides short term satisfaction.
Just find out your comfort zone and push out of it slowly. Or quickly. You know your tolerance.
i also hope i can develop a stronger relationship with my brother and sisters as we are all distant right now living our lives. or in my case barely living a life. i hope to be closer to them when im older.
Community college extension courses is a great, quick, inexpensive way to acquire new skills. You don’t have to do the whole degree thing. Check your local cc extension guide, you might find something that interests you. I did before the shutdown, I’ll have to wait til the school reopens

I would love to have unlimited money and to own very little. I would travel around from hotel to hotel and stay as long as I was enjoying myself. I would take in the nature of various locations and I would play the slot machines at the casinos and enjoy all the high quality vegetarian restaurants I could find. I would make sure my kids had a house and cars and I would come visit them often to play with the grandkids. I would donate tons of money to charity and would hand out money to the homeless.
I want a house in Vermont and a wife, 5 sons – a car collection, I’d be an engineer and an astronomer, a guest house with ATVs on a lake…
I was also fulfilled until I had 21 y.o. at my diagnosis and first psychosis.
Tons of friends, work with my degree, a gf and a university degree with lots of money.
Did you ever get your life back?
I didn’t and I am now 30 y.o.
I have a different life now. I’m mostly content. You have to accept your limitations and make the best of what you have.
The life I will lead after we win a big lotto prize.
JK I have a very nice life now. Since we moved into our new manufactured home a few years ago.
