My family was so loving, caring, fun. Most of the time it was near perfect. They tried so hard. Everyone tells me my family was the most loving ever. There was play and laughter. Fun games and holidays.

Also, it was confusing and frightening. Being mostly sexually and verbally safe for a kid just…doesnt equal being safe. Their shame was so big, that I was/am not allowed to feel, think or speak the second side. Which makes it complicated.
