If you have a work history, what was your first job? Did you like it?
My first job was at Dunkin Donuts in the late 90s. I was just 16.
I liked it because I discovered that I was a hard worker and that was very satisfying to me.
I liked the pace and the rhythm of the busy mornings as well.
Newspaper delivery. I hated it. I was 12
Dishwasher
Hated it
Coffee shop/cupcake/dessert place.
I liked it cause it was a cool place.
I was a slow learner and not very confident though…

Waiter, 17/18 years old
Grocery store. I was 17
I was 16 I worked at a marina doing yard maintenance
It was fun I’d occasionally see what they caught
I mowed lawns in the local neighborhood when i was 12. first paid job was being a dishwasher at 13 or 14…it didn’t last long…they caught me eating the chinese food that was still in the bowls when they brought back the food…haha
My first job was delivering newspapers at age 12 (1976). I saved up enough money to buy a Sony Trinitron tv and a Lay-Z-Boy chair.
Medical office. I was 18 it was difficult because i couldnt speak spanish very well
Waiter. I was 17. It was a breakfast place so there were a lot of creepy old men. Hated it.
It was in a racist town too so I had to deal with that as well. 0/10 do not recommend.

McDonald’s when I was 14. It somehow led to me being a chef.
I know, I don’t get it either.
Working in a cheese factory labelling the boccocini pottles… hated it! But i loved the free fancy cheeses
I forgot i did junk mail delivery before that. It didnt last long…
I started at 15 working at Qdoba(pretty much the same thing as chipotle) I worked 25-30 hours a week while going to high school full time. I don’t know how I did it. I’d go to school from 8-4 then work 5-11pm and somehow I did my homework and got some tiny amount of sleep.
My first job was clerk. I didn’t like it because it was not to my education.
I was a busser at a cafe nearby
The servers constantly complained about me and I was fired after a month or so
I was 16
My very first job was at age 15 on a farm as a crop weeder. I had to use a hoe to dig weeds out of young crop plants. It was hard work and I hated it. I didn’t even last a day.
