What was your first car?

mine was a mazda rx -4, the mechanic put a faulty thermostat in it and I blew the engine almost right away…paid for it with my own money…I was so pissed.

A grey Nissan micra
It got me from a to b but colleague described it as an old tin can
Someone bashed into it when I had it parked outside and it was a write off

Red. So much fun to drive. I am very gratefull for having it.I loved it.
It was a reliable tool and “friend.”
I would push it to the limits, engine and turns.
Actually I had people calling me, years later, from old work places to ask if the car was still running:

“dude, I said that if your car is still running I am getting Honda”

It was the best advertising for honda. At least 4 people got honda after a call.

1979 Camaro Z-28. Looked a lot like this one.

I had no business having a care like that at 16. My mother “borrowed it” and totaled it.

Orange.

No radio, one window was stuck at half-way, and the gas gage didn’t work.

A 1966 Chevy Chevelle Malibu. It had a V8 with a four barrel carburetor, it wasn’t that fast but it did have a passing gear so if I floored it would take off and go extra fast. I loved that car, I had many good times in it. I had it about ten months and then it got totaled in a wreck.

Blue Saturn SUV with major brake issues.

A 1989 Renault 19.

The engine had a tendency to overheat in warm weather.

I used this car while working as a delivery messenger for a large well known company. I remember one time I had to give one of the directors a ride because their car was in the shop. I had to turn on the AC with heat a warm summer day to keep the engine from boiling. It was embarrasing :no_mouth: He was like “sure…if it helps the car…”

Technically, my first car was a tan Dodge Aspen my parents gave me.

But the first car that I purchased was a white Monte Carlo.
