My first car was a used Honda Accord, 1991 model. It was a sedan. It had great transmission and was very smooth. Saved a lot of petrol. It was maroon outside and black inside. I bought it from a uni student who was graduating at that time.
It was a black dodge neon. I think I payed like 1200-1500. It was a good little car. I bought it when I was 18 in the Army. My friend always wanted rides. I gave rides to him frequently. One day I told him I wasn’t going to give him rides. A couple days later it wouldn’t run. He messed with the timing belt.
First car was a 1979 ford Fairmont. 4.9l V8 with upgraded headlights and interior but no power steer or air conditioning. Amazing car. Drove a 2,000km round trip to a wedding and it was a beast. 4 barrel carby which really sucked in the petrol and the petrol gauge didn’t work properly. I had to keep it filled over half a tank or I had no idea.
So much fun. Had to sell it when I went back to work. Should have kept it for my little brother who liked cars…last of the V8 interceptors.
1977 Plymouth Grand Fury. Land yacht and ugly as heck. Got it for $75 when I was 16, circa 1985.
A 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu when I was 17. My dad picked it out and bought it for $450.00 and I paid him back. This was 1978.
It wasn’t even painted the whole time I had it. It was always primer grey. The previous owners had taken out all the seatbelts but back then it wasn’t a law that you had to wear a seatbelt. It had an AM radio and that was it. No other extras, i.e. no air conditioning, no power windows.
I had a LOT of fun in that car. Drunk driving wasn’t the big deal it is now, and getting caught with pot was just a ticket and going before a juvenile judge so half the time I drove it, I was drinking a beer or smoking a joint.
But yeah, I loved that car and when it got totaled in a wreck after 8 months of faithful service I was pissed and upset. It was the other guys fault and I got a check for $800 from his insurance company and bought my second car which was a 1964 Ford Station Wagon. I partied in that car too but it just wasn’t the same and eventually it got stolen.
My first car was a 2000 Dodge Intrepid. It eventually broke down, lots of problems, I don’t think it was designed well. After that I drove my granddad’s old 1996 Camry for several years until the door handle snapped off in the cold. Super glue only held it for a few more months, needed to repair it then. My best vehicle was my recent 2005 Chevy Silverado, crashed it while I was delusional a couple years ago. I haven’t gotten another car since then
It was a Lexus, and by the time my sister and I were driving other cars, my step-dad had dubbed it the Wrexus
My first car was a rust colored 1975 Ford Pinto. 75 or 76. I worked at a Holiday Inn to buy it and had a 3 year old daughter. I was going to buy one in my town, but the salesman kept screwing around, so my step-father took me to Detroit. It was new. In 1977, I traded it in for a new 1977 Chevrolet Camaro. I worked at a 7-11 store. I really should have kept the Camaro. My Camaro was light blue with black interior.
My first car was a 1989 Mitsubishi colt. It was a real colour. Had very low mileage when I bought it. It was a really good first car.
My first car was a mazda 626. It used to be my sister’s car.
Damn, when I was in high school, that was just about the coolest car you could have. A Trans Am was the coolest but only one guy in the whole school had one.
And actually, the un-coolest car you could have was a PInto, lol.
Yeah, that’s true. I wish I would have just kept my Camaro running. I traded it for a 1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass Calais, which I didn’t like as much.
I had a car for a few months. Then it was discovered that I had an eye condition that prevented me from driving. So the car was taken away from me and the rest of my life sucked.
Ahhhhh, the good ol’ 1994 Isuzu Rodeo
It was this murky blue color with grey interior.
Got it when I was 16 I think… I used to pick my best friend up for school in the mornings and we’d blast music on the way there.
Also got my first warning in that car for doing 50mph in a 35 zone
Sold it when I left for college. Such a rad car.
My first car was a 1996 Honda Accord …
Great car, but shortly after I had it I fell asleep while driving on the highway…
Doing 75 miles an hour I hit a guard rail and rolled it…
96 Honda Civic cx hatchback, loved that car.
Early 90s teal Plymouth Sundance
