I don’t have a favorite. Hopefully that changes.
My favorite job was being a bicycle mechanic for a summer. We got keys to the shop and could go and work on our bikes whenever we wanted. We got a good discount on all our bike parts and got all the weekends off that had national bike races that we wanted to travel to and compete in. It also sold darts and we played cricket dart game daily. The owner even owned the property next to the shop and let us put in a practice starting gate. We could practice our starts even in the winter as it was indoor and heated. It was a seasonal job because in winter the bike sales and service was not in demand at all. I only worked one summer there. It was downtown and we had good restaurant’s and places to buy snacks and drinks also. It was a ten minute drive from my home also which was nice. This was back in 1991 and I got twenty bucks for each bike I assembled. I also got commission on all repairs I completed.
For about three years my current janitor job was my favorite job. I’ve had about 15 different jobs since 1983 but from 2021-2023 my janitor job was great. I enjoyed going to work and enjoyed my time there. It’s no coincidence that it was when the pandemic hit. I work in an army reserve office building and during the pandemic there were only a few soldiers working, the rest were kept home. I had whole floors of buildings to myself. Yeah, those were the good old days; now going to my job is a grind but there’s still some good things about it.
Unemployed was my favorite. Although it has many of its own downsides. I cant handle the stress of working for the past few years. My favorite actual job was probably dishy or when i was a panner at a chocolate factory for about 2 years. Was by far the longest job i ever had that factory one.
My favorite job was when I was building clinics for hospitals. Ive built 4 clinics in my life time. Really enjoyed the work.
my favourite job is accounting
Babysitting. I made good money from taking care of small children and now I am a mommy and don’t get paid for taking care of my kids, but I wouldn’t change the job for anything in the world.
I have 1 favorite for the actual work done and 1 favorite for work environment (people & bosses worked with)
My favorite job for the tasks is medical administration (benefits, obtaining prior authorizations, teaching HIPAA compliance, maintaining medical records and forms, etc)
My current job has the best environment out of any job I’ve ever had. It has its moments that aren’t so great like angry or mean customers, but overall it’s good.
There is nothing I have loved more than my days as a chef. Crappy hours and crappier pay, but it feels like being in a kitchen was what I was meant to do.
Favourite job I had was working for Big Blue (IBM: International Business Machines) some 20+ years ago. Enjoyed the technical hardware that IBM was offering, maintaining and upgrading to their banking & finance customers. Technical hardware equipment included all 3x tier level storage devices from tape drives, traditional spindle hard disk drives to what would be now called SSD (Solid State Drives) for data centres. Learning about the various network connections such as SONET (Synchronous Optical NETworks) Fibre Channel, FDDI (Fibre Distributed Data Interface) as well as the 3x main storage types of SAN (Storage Area Network), NAS (Network Attached Storage) and DAS (Direct Attached Storage) really intrigued me.
Mine is my current job. Library page.
I worked at a call center and we were allowed to read books in between calls and play games also watch tv while we were working. Favorite job
I worked for United technologies about 10 years ago. I was a helper for the machine techs . We made circuit boards for air conditioners.
It was the funniest just for a long time but I eventually got mobbed on the job and quit but it was my favorite by far. Autonomy …gaol oriented work … decent pay and the co works were cool until the end .
I am a plasterer by trade
My first job at 16 operating rides at this theme park - Merlin’s Magic Land.
Never had a favorite. I liked working as a mechanic but other people tried hard to ruin it.
residential designer of homes for about five years…designed store fronts and furniture before that.
Restore an old big residential home with a lot of people, a project over one year sponsored by working agency
Reading telemetry strips and taking care of patients on a telemetry unit in a community hospital as an RN on the night shift. I sometimes floated to the ICU as well. Definitely my favorite job as it was usually quiet.
By whom?!?! What happened?
