What was a favorite toy you had as a kid?

I used to have a really cool water rocket that you would fill partly with water and pump air into the nozzle. When you would release the catch it would shoot up into the sky about 100 feet. I don’t think they make these anymore because it probably took some poor kids’ eyes out.

These look similar but might be lamed down versions:

Maracas! They’re actually a musical instrument, but I used them as toys my entire childhood! Whenever there was a moment of peaceful silence at my grandparents or at home with my mom, I’d run out, flailing the maracas and making a big scene.
Here’s a guy from edit: it’s a college not UC Berkeley, my bad! showing off the beauty of maracas!
Explanation of edit: I thought it said UC Berkeley but it says Berklee college lol

I guess it would be a teddy ruxpin

My favorite toy as a kid was the He-man castle and slime that came with it. lol.

Mr. Panda - almost as big as I was.

All of this makes me jealous, I never really cared for toys as a kid!!

I grew up early 70’s and was happy with cheap ass plastic toy soldiers. This was before Star Wars and all those things! Even the tv was all WW2 movies and shows.

A baby doll, I have this really cool baby named Susan. It is a battery operated toy. She cries whenever I remove her feeding bottle. She also a baby stroller. Susan is still around, I gave it to my 3-years old niece and she really love her.

Hell, I had my Lincoln Logs, my blocks, my Legos and my little plastic green army men. I could stay in my room for hours playing with just those.

I grew up playing retro nintendo games and Pokemon using Gameboy.

Digimon and BeyBlades were pretty big back in my childhood days.

I used to have a green, toy monster truck with the big tires. The electric motor broke out, so I just tied a little rope to it, and I pulled it all over the place in a square mile for quite awhile I recall.

Also a red, plastic, flat bottom sled that I’d travel around with in that square mile making ramps, sliding off small bluffs, and hitting everything that had an incline and some snow/ice on it. I always came back home drenched because I was walking on ice that fell through, snow was getting inside from deep snow travel and sledding violent sledding rides. :grimacing:

My favorite toy as a child was a newborn Tumbelina doll that my evil cousin destroyed by drawing with pen all over her face. I was sooooo heartbroken. I felt like that doll was my child. I felt like he had killed her.

I had a stuffed animal dinosaur named Dino.

I had some fun toys barbie and her friends, a toy mac truck and snake and mongoose race track and such but I really do think some of my best childhoood fun was being outside climbing trees, picking apples, pears and cherries. picnics out side with a good friend or family. Those were my best and most vivid memories. Remember practicing gymnastics outside, got the val dez on first try, felt good.
