I’d still go with what I have. A dog. A monkey is tempting, but I don’t like the idea of my face being ripped off when they go berserk. I remember some story of just this happening when someone was throwing a birthday party for one awhile back.

I would get a service dog so fast if I had a fenced in backyard
I did have a cat which was supposed to be an emotional support animal and it was a disaster
So I’ve given up on that

Just a note that the OP asked what type of service animal users want and people are responding with the emotional support animal they’d like. They are not the same thing. I’d like to note that most of the poll options offered for service animals are not legal service animals in most countries.
I really want a dog. Like a bulldog or yellow lab or boxer or something bigger like that. Problem is, I’m not very responsible and am real bad at taking care of things. Especially animals. So I better not.
Fish, turtles, birds and monkeys are on the list. They cant be support animals. We may like them but you can’t get support from a fish or take a monkey on a commercial flight. So I choose a rhino.
