What should I do?

I have a pdoc appointment on Thursday and idk if i should tell them about my thoughts
I think no because I don’t want to be admitted to a psych ward and I’m not acutely psychotic but dunno

Honesty is the best policy.

I don’t think that telling your doc about your thoughts would land you in the psych ward. Violent thoughts are common with szs and we don’t all get locked up for it. Also docs are typically very smart people, your doc probably already knows or can guess that you might think of harming someone in self defence - it’s the natural reaction for anyone if they believed their life was in danger.

What about the delusions

I agree with what others have said and that you should be honest with your doc. They can help you better that way.

If you’re not honest with them then there’s really no reason to be seeing them, cuz they’re there to help you and they can’t do that unless they know what’s really going on. Delusions alone aren’t reasons to get hospitalized, usually you have to have intent to act on them.

I’m scared I will stab someone if they get worse

Sounds like you are suffering from OCD symptoms as well
@Crystal-Cotton

well clozapine can cause ocd so wouldn’t be surprised

Honey, if you’re scared of that kind of delusion, that’s actually a good thing. It’s good to be scared of those kind of thoughts. But if you BELIEVE that you are going to sink into the delusion and actually carry out the violent act, then maybe it IS time to go into the hospital. I really do think that you NEED to tell your pdoc about these delusions so they can help you. I know you’re on clozapine, but maybe they can add a little something to help it out while you’re going thru this. Good luck with your appointment, please be transparent…

well they suggested a med that i could take as needed but i’m scared of trying new meds too

Oh, i understand! I’ve been on everything under the sun, too, including clozapine. But if a prn will help you, in the moment that you’re having these fears, maybe taking it for now will help your distress. You can always discontinue it when you feel better. There’s no shame in taking it if it will get you some relief. I’ll be praying for you, if you don’t mind!
