What selfish things would you do if you won the lottery

If you won millions, and took care of your family, did some good things, what selfish stuff would you do with the remainder of the millions?

No idea. It’s hard to imagine.

I’d definitely get my own place. Maybe a few other properties to generate income.

Nothing like any super expensive cars or mansions like the elitists do. I would not buy a $1000 suit or other elite nonsense.

I would fix up our house here and buy up as much land as i could adjoining my land in the area. I would keep it natural forest. I would buy up a bunch of abandoned field land and plant trees in it to offset the destruction caused by clear cut logging.
I would buy land in the northwest and keep a modest vacation cabin there keeping the land natural.
I might rescue some exotic endangered animals and give them refuge on some of this land…

Actually a few years ago when Russia was talking about cloning a Mammoth I wanted to buy a bunch of land here and make a mammoth preserve. Mammoths are cool.

I’d buy a penthouse in a skyscraper that offers gym facilities, a pool, and movie theater. Oh and a plane ticket, cuz I think that penthouse would be bought in Japan. Then take private Japanese lessons and think of a business idea. I think money is the greatest barrier to Human happiness, to me it’s the worst invention in Human history… How far you get in life and the kind of things you do for enjoyment depend largely on your income and I think that’s unfair to those that are deprived of large amounts.

I’d travel the world for a few years, see everything. It would be selfish because I’d be by myself.

I’ve thought a few times what i would do with the money and the way i am at the moment the only thing the money could give me is a nice home of my own to live in.

I would have bought an apartment in Barcelona! The coolest city ever, been there several times, working and on holiday.

I’ll give my brother and sister and dad each a million …then I buy a big house by the sea . I’d appoint a butler and chauffer. I’ll have cooked meals everyday. I don’t want a mistress for the house but I’ll invite over as much lady friends as possible to wine and dine with me. we’ll take long drives through the best nature reserves and for entertainment we’ll book in at the most fun filled casino’s…and relax at the spa with full body massage

I think I would buy a condo in Thailand or possibly a place on Phuket for me and my relatives. And then get great medical insurance if I got a breakdown over there or something. There are few places as nice as Thailand.

i’d travel through Europe and Canada mostly by train,

go fishing in some really nice places with all the best kit

i’d also like to resurrect the dead so i would set up clinics and labs in order to do this

and i would definately get some more music, i’d like to buy some sounds stuff and experiment

the Caribean maybe, Hawai, snorkelling in Australia or wind surfing

I would like to give it away to all kinds of needy people just so that I could feel good about having so much. It would make me feel more isolated from the masses who are mostly the poorer ones. My life would be ruined otherwise because I would be thinking about money 24/7 and I wouldn’t enjoy finding treasures in the trash and the thrift stores anymore. So that is the very selfish thing I’d do to keep from feeling guilty.

I think that there is enough money floating around out there for us to pay off our national debt. Really. Start a lottery whose proceeds go to doing just that.

Or help young entrepreneurs get started in some green energy field and spend my time doing research on the facts associated with their start up companies. Like a scout looking for possible college graduates for a major sports team.

Finance some better kinds of pollution controls such as big water filters on all the rain runoff locations leading directly to our water ways.

Start a government program to help ease over population by offering couples financial help putting their kids through college for not having more than two or three of them. And also other financial benefits as incentives.

I would be a philathropist and arrange for better care with a home for the mentally ill. have someone run it. but overlook it to be sure they are being treated well. maybe have a garden for them to work like on the old state hospitals…they had whole farms there for the mentally ill in the fifties…no more…no more…
