I hate having barely any thoughts in my mind (negative symptom). I’ve been on Vraylar for a while. Does it get better with time or should I switch to another med? What’s the best med for the blankness?
I used to be aware of my own thoughts before I started meds. Now my mind feels quite blank, but I’m still able to think.

I’m on Lurasidone (Latuda) and my mind is constantly thinking about all kinds of things. Not psychotic delusional things, just contemplating things I read about. science, politics, news, etc…Sometimes when I am watching TV I lose track of what I am watching because I am lost in thought.
There are some other times when my mind is at rest though.
Since I found things to do like video games, Netflix etc my mind is much less empty.

I don’t have an answer to your question though. Poverty of thought is a symptom of sz in some cases, if that’s what your are referring to. It may be the schizophrenia causing it as much as or even more than the meds.
Welcome to the forum. Unfortunately I can’t answer your question, but I can tell you I suffered from a “blank mind” more than year, and suddenly out of the blue I began daydreaming and step by step I developed a “content of mind.”
You may be relieved one day.
I’m not entirely certain I know what you are referring to. But I felt overly sedated and slow on seroquel and like I had less thoughts than my natural self. So I looked into something that is less sedative and went with Lurasidone (latuda) and honestly its great.
Honestly, coffee works great for me.
Lurasidone and Asenapine both helped me regain personality.
(Latuda and Saphris)
Asenapine had way less side effects.
welcome to the forum =)
Is it that med that you dissolve under your tongue?
Yes, that’s the one.
Welcome to the forum! I’m having the same issue. I don’t know if it’s my med or not. I take Haldol.
Yes, mocha and dark chocolate also seem to help
I dont know about meds but a really good supplement for a blank mind is L Theanine.
