I feel like I’ve met a lot of people with ASPD in my time.
I don’t have a clue. To my knowledge I haven’t met anyone with ASPD.
I read that antisocial personality disorder is marked by aggression, while asocial behavior is the correct term for avoiding others and being not social.
Maybe more than we think.
Speaking of this, there are a lot of people with ASPD and psychopathy.
They are around 3% of the population. That’s more than people with schizophrenia combined (1%).
Sometimes it feels like 100%.
Ive known a couple over the years. Extremley manipulative - and no matter what havoc they cause, its never their fault - and they play the victim. Complete lack of insight into how there behavior affects other people.
They’ve all had a substance misuse problem as well.
Yeah. I feel like there’s a significant number. Most just aren’t familiar with the habits so don’t realise or suspect anything.
Ive only met one that i really know of and got close to. My brothers gf has it i think she has literally all the symptoms besides aggression. Highly manipulative and plays the victim when you call her out on it. Has tried to sabotage my life multiple times.
I was always very shy. Now, because certain people are mad about not being able to get away with things, they’re acting like I’m antisocial. I avoid people who like lying about me. I’m not antisocial. They are.
I’ve heard other statistics saying that psychopaths are made up of 10% of the total male population and 1% of the females.
Doesn’t that tell you the story of who most of the criminals are?
