Absolutely. 24 hr and cable news channels stir up trouble where there is none and panic the public for ratings and advertising dollars. Programs are are largely biased in one way or another and always seem to have a hidden agenda. They rarely give an actual objective viewpoint. I feel like they are using there credentials to sway public opinion for selfish reasons becoming a detriment to our deplorable society. Stories always seem to have too much opinion and there is no place for it in the news. They should just be relaying facts for the public to let people make up their own minds and think for themselves and not trying to gardenpath and herd people. Its really a pet peave of mine how the majority of the news media operates with blantent disregard of the fundamentals of true journalism. Free press in the Constitution was intended to be independent and to keep our systems in check not to attempt to control public opinion for monetary gains. Thats my rant for the day…good topic!
I’m not a big fan of local news but would rather watch cable news like CNN.
I’d rather watch the news than the other garbage that’s on TV.
