Don’t you fear responsibility?
Do you tolerate others? Do you hallucinate in work? Do you have problem in learning instructions and in following them or remembering them? I do
No, Italy. They may be stupid or intelligent. Or both. It’s pretty random, I guess. Or it depends on patient’s personality? Maybe
THey hijack the part of the brain involved in reality testing
I don’t really worry to much about responsibility, Im very stable dont have voices paranoia or delusions, other than the fact I am more reserved than before and dont have intense emotions anymore you wouldnt say I have schizophrenia. I think my negative symptoms are more from the meds than the illness.
So this makes them intelligent?
I’m glad you have no symptoms. Today I almost have no symptoms, except a few voices, and the permanent delusions
Thats good, still think my delusions are real but I get on with life, its not often I think about my delusions. Theyre not a fixation, more a belief than a delusion. Almost like a new found religion.
I think so because they are convincing. Since they stem from your mind they are an expert on all your strenghts and weaknesses, which makes it hard to beat them.
@MisterCrowley @Om_Sadasiva Wow I never knew you two had degrees that’s awesome!
It was difficult. I studied from 2007 to 2010.
I had cognitive and negative symptoms since then. The positives came 2 and a half years ago in 2017.
Could it be prodromal phase if it happened 10 years ago? I don’t think so
Thanks did two degrees in psychology an undergrad and a one year postgraduate. One day I will do a masters in research psychology which was the plan. First need to gain financial independance though.
Some colleges here have masters on clinical psychology. I like it, but I have no money
In my college years, we had a group therapy. The professor suggested that we should buy a book about psychoanalysis. When I bought it, I saw that each personality type is defined by its defense mechanisms it uses the most.
There, in that book I found the definition of schizoid personality. It contained schizotypal traits too. I found a great description of my self in there.
@Om_Sadasiva wow I guess you did find your answers
If you spent 90% of the time focusing on school, work @Om_Sadasiva instead of hallucinations and delusions and staying inside your head, I think you could do anything. You could probably get that masters or something someday.
I started studying psychology as a way to combat my abuser so I could debunk lies she was telling about me and my condition.
But also I found it fascinating and so now someday I hope to be a psychologist.
Yeah I understand that. I have a bachelor in neuroscience based psychology.
