What meds are you on?

I’m on risperidol (resperidone), very low dose 1 mg and gabapentin 300 mg. 5xday. At this low dose not too bad but I still feel resperidol effects my breathing and has a tendency to cause weight gain in the belly area. Also, have very low or no sex drive.

Yes, I’ve been dealing with it for years. I’ve been on Saphris for years, though, and Diazepam too. I can’t remember the last time I was able to think clearly. It’s all fuzzy as to when my thinking became distorted and when I started taking meds. I don’t know if there is a correlation.

I’m on generic prolixin…fluphenazine. I take 10 mg twice a day. I have no known side effects and I am losing weight…I was delusional on abilify…good luck.

The most available are SSRIs (like fluoexetine, sertraline, citalopram, fluvoxamine). Their side effects include stomach upset, restlessness; impaired sexual function. Other prescription medications that can be considered are mirtazapine, clomipramine, duloxetine, etc. Trial & error would be best, as recommended by your doctor.

I have Abilify and Quetiapine. I am very calm.

as far as non narcotic anxiety medicine goes, hydrozyzxine/vistaril was very anxiety relieving for the first few months of taking it, though sedating. the first time i took it i felt very relaxed and my anxiety just melted away. i built up a tolerance to it, though

That’s how I feel about Zoloft. Been on it for 9 years and I am so suicidal lately despite taking it. Thinking of asking my doctor to switch to Prozac.

Thank you for the advice. Going to try switching my antidepressant and see if that helps.

Today I’m lowering my zyprexa dose

Goodluck! Hope it helps

It has to I’ve lost my erection and am very tired in the mornings

Oh no! That part sucks about the meds. I went nuts not being able to finish but eventually my body adjusted and I was able to.
