Ever since I went through psychosis and got diagnosed schizo-affective. I’ve had trouble with confidence. One of my biggest goals is to be financially successful. So I’d like to see what some of you do for work that share a similar diagnosis.
Hi. I work as a security guard and have been with the same firm for almost 8 years. I feel lucky in that I landed a full-time assignment that is well suited to my having schizophrenia. Sometimes, it is stressful, but often it is quiet and peaceful. I can’t say much more about my job because the firm that I work for is very sensitive about their reputation on the Internet. I could get written up for talking about my job more specifically. If you are thinking of getting a job, be prepared for a lot of work both getting and keeping a job.

I work part time in a book shop!
Welcome @mikebnumber1
I work time in a church, maintenance and help the priest/vicar during the rituals, wedding, baptize, funeral.
I am a tax collector. It’s a lot of paperwork and people aren’t real happy to hear from me.
I am a qualified engineer. But due to the early stages of schiz I was unable to pursue a full time career and confidence levels were rather low to put it mildly. I am now 50 years old and for the past ten years or so, I have been a content writer.
My next step is to go from a freelancer to a full time employee. God willing it shall be done. I haven’t yet achieved financial stability but hope to do so when I land a full time position.
I am a self employed landscaper at the moment.
I might become a mental health nurse though if I decide to train this September but I have no idea whether to do it or not
I used to have a data analyst job for 6 years as well. I quit that due to stress and anxiety
