My diagnosis / prognosis was schizoaffective bipolar type with good prognostic features
I’ve always been afraid to ask about my prognosis.
I’m diagnosed with schizophrenia, and my prognosis is most likely for life, but could be manageable.
Never was given a prognosis. Seems bad though. I’m probably middle of the road.
My diagnosis is sza, bipolar type and my prognosis now anyway is good I think. It was a bad prognosis for many years.
I guess I won’t finish high school because I’m schizophrenic, I guess also I’ll never have sex or friends and I need to behave like a schizophrenic
I’m SZA, my outlook for mental and physical health at this point is not good
They gave me a good prognosis. I’m ok with that
My doctor when I got diagnosed said I would not be able to work commensurate with my experience and education. I am trying to prove him wrong although this is 9 years later.
I would have to go read his last report on me to get his exact words but it was something like that. I do have it saved on my computer.
I have no idea about mine. I just know that in my mid 20s I was at best seen as fit for a group home. At worst fit for a long stay ward.
I’m so sorry @TomCat. Something like the same thing happened to me.
TO ALL
One pdoc in the hospital told me that if I work really hard in therapy, one day I may be able to work part time in a library. SHEESH!
Have you asked?
If you are given a negative prognosis, don’t believe it. Everyone has great potential to be much better and feel much healthier, way beyond a limiting and useless prognosis.
It was an average prognosis that’s what I was told. Not high functioning but not low functioning either.
I was given a guarded prognosis which I don’t think is good
I know it will be put as of a life thing but I fear the prognosis. Probably good I guess with meds but after my last trip impatient in the end of march, I just don’t know.
I’m starting one-on one therapy soon. I don’t think I have schizophrenia. We’re thinking psychotic depression
Paranoid schizophrenia. I don’t know if they released the newest diagnostic manual for psychiatrists but it will have all the different schizophrenias lumped together under one single diagnosis.
They are going to/did phase out differentiating between schizophrenias.
Probably “poor”.
