What is your favorite holiday?

It could be anything, even a cultural one.

My culture has a lot of pagan traditions which were transformed into modern Christian traditions.
Such as making a bonfire after church (somewhere around the church) and kids and newlyweds can jump over it and also the priest lights a candle and passes it on to the people so everyone has a lighted candle which in turn, people take it home with them to bless their homes.

My dad is protestant, so we did not follow much of these traditions but I got baptized apostolic christian and my sister married a catholic, so we are pretty open-minded. Me and my siblings. I celebrate with everybody, most traditions.

My personal holiday could be the Halloween, I like it the most I guess. And this year my party was amazing.

What is your favorite holiday?

It’s not a holiday but Black Friday deals have very good prices on a variety of products. North America is going to be a materialistic society where we treasure what we own.

I LOVE LIVE BREATH HALLOWEEN. I celebrate halloween everyday. My decorations are always up, lol. I still go trick or treating too (even though I’m already 21)

Since I’m a witch I also celebrate samhain (pronounces sah-win) which is basically the pagan version of halloween. It has a lot of cool traditions (bonfires, silent supper to honour the dead, divination, rituals, ect) My mother is also a witch, so I guess samhain is as close to a religious holiday as we’ll ever get.

My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving. Because all I have to do is go over to my sister’s and eat, and then help her and her daughter clean up afterwards. I don’t have to spend any money on candy or gifts.

My favorite holiday is Christmas, without a doubt. I like to watch “A Christmas Carol” during the season. It puts me in a Christmas mood. Also, the college bowl games are just getting started. They sell egg nog at Wal Mart. Even when I am alone Christmas is a good time for me.

Xmas and New Year have always been good here in Australia. You get heaps of public holidays…3 and usually everyone takes days off with holidays. When I used to work it was fun. You’d go to work and do nothing because everyone was absent.

Years later. Xmas is always good. We go to my sisters and drink and eat till we fall over on Xmas day. Boxing day the extended family come over and we watch the start of the cricket test!

4th of July. It drives my Sz nuts with all the loud noises and flashing lights. Still, It’s still pretty great snugglin up to my dame and listening to her squeak then hide

Christmas has to still be my favorite as long as family members come to celebrate it with me. If no one is ever around for it I guess I won’t have a favorite.
