I’m not going to flame anyone for pointing out the USA’s shortcomings. We do a lot of good and a lot of bad. Far from perfect. Right now our country is all messed up.

When asked about other countries no one bashes them. But everyone bashes the US. We have positives and negatives but we’re still overall a good country. I don’t think we’re the best at everything, but I don’t like that we can’t even have a simple thread on what the US is famous for without getting bashed. It’s not right.

Oh not true at all. People bash lots of countries, and the US doesn’t get the worst of it. The US creates a lot of problems for other countries and is more involved in world affairs than probably any other country. You can’t expect everyone to love your country with all the controversy surrounding it’s internal and external affairs. People all over the world care about what you do. That’s not a bad thing. But US nationalism is.

Probably but not entirely, I think. Until recently the US did a lot of good for international cooperation. At least that’s my opinion.

I think we’d be worse off without the US.

Also, I think Switzerland beats you when it comes to making money in dubious ways from other countries.

Doesn’t the US have the highest debt worldwide? I think China has the least. I heard that on the news many times.

Oh please. I just said I think the world would be worse off without the US.
I follow the US elections more closely than anyone I know.
I’m more pro-US than the vast majority of Europeans.

You just want to hear the good things. It’s completely unrealistic. When people care, they talk about the good and the bad. This thread is people caring about the US. You have the entire world’s attention and you’re complaining about it.
