Guns, violence, obesity, poverty, nationalism.
Also films and series, technological and scientific advancement, great schools, wealth.

The US has the best and worst of reputations. And for some reason many Americans think their reputation is about freedom and democracy, despite the US not being exceptional at all in either of those departments.

You can all flame me about being anti-American again now if you want.

Several European countries are more prosperous. But the US is still the largest economy.

The EU has 470 million people, the USA has 330 million people, so the whole EU is larger than the USA.

But the EU is not a country or just one economy. But yes it is larger than the US in combined GDP.
