What is the least amount of sleep you can get by on? My sleep is all messed up. Usually sleeping ten hours a night and last night only four. What do I really need? What should I do, force myself to sleep? Maybe I’m really one of those people who need less sleep? I just had a medicine change.
Pretty sure this varies from person to person.
It’s been a long, long, long time since I was not tired all day. I’m so glad my meds were reduced!
Having really bad insomnia - and anxiety all day. 3 hours a night for a while now.
I get a good 7-8 hours a night. It seems to be optimal for me but before meds I had horrible insomnia. With even a lower dose of zyprexa I sleep at least 7 but I’m happy with that. I came back from sleeping 10 hours a night…that was way too much for me. Made me feel guilty missing out on life sleeping that long every night. We are all different.
I usually sleep aroumd 12 hours a night. Occasionally more or less.
I would let my doctor know. It’s okay when you’re young but when you get older your muscles atrophy.
I’m not sure but I do sort of believe I really need 8 hours. It’s interesting how some ppl are okay on like 4 hours.
I think it varies from person to person
My psych nurse tells me it’s vital in my case that I get 8-9. I am sza bipolar and less than that makes my symptoms roar.
Coming off six nights with only 4-5 and it’s obvious to everyone and especially me. Med adjustments starting to kick in - got 7 and already feeling better.
Ask your doc about what’s right for you if they know you well.
Everyone is different but most adults need 7 to 9 hours, although some people may need as few as 6 hours or as many as 10 hours of sleep each day.
