Oh I forgot about of mice and men
I loved lord of the flies
A fantasy book I read was The Fall of Lucifer. I couldn’t put it down. It’s by Wendy Alec. It was scary in parts.
Yes, good book, we had to read it for my freshman English class in high school. Plus another good book, “Animal Farm”, by George Orwell.
My favourite it a series by Margit Sandemo called sagan om isfolket.
I enjoyed Johanne Hildebrandt saga, Odin,Freya but Sagan om isfolket are the books I remember enjoying the most.
Don’t think I could read them today as they might be to scary.
About witches and supernatural stuff.
I enjoyed Stephen king but was to scared to even go to the toilet at night so don’t read that type of books.
I have enjoyed quiet many books but I’m a somewhat poor reader.
LS! I usually read non-fiction.
How about : Owen Hargie: Skilled Interpersonal Communication?
Or maybe : Mark Bauerlein: The Dumbest Generation
So long!
I read paranormal series, Laurell K Hamilton, Charlaine Harris. Some Dean Koontz, Stephen King, I lost my Kindle was reading about an Arizona witch family, really liked it, I can’t get them anywhere but ebook on Amazon and I’m not spending 7.99 on each of the 16 books. They don’t have a print copy, so library can’t get it in.
I have the two books by Zak Bagans on the kindle too, so when I find it those are next.
My favorite is Catch 22. An amazing book that everyone should read. It’s about humans in inhumane circumstance in the war but it’s really a comment on modern life and institutions as well. Funny as hell. One of the few books I can laugh out loud too because it’s so good.
For non fiction. The book of five rings or Zen and the Art of Motorcycle maintanence. I can’t begin to understand all of either but they are gee whizz books. You read them and think that what your reading means something profoundly worthwhile. Amazing.
Aww i have this one too… true story - my dad was interviewed by Stephen king for this very book back in the day… he went to his house and they talked and there were 2 other ppl there being interviewed at the same time rather like in a casual sit down and chat kind a way…
Just Some of my faves…
Horns by Joe Hill
Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk
The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaimen
It by Stephen King
Peter Pan by JM Barrie
I’ve heard that Joe Hill book is really good.
I loved “It” by Stephen King. It’s a long read, but really worth it.
Aww Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance has actually on my list t own and read for awhile now! That’s so cool that you mentioned it! I just never hear of it anywhere
O it’s absolutely amazing! You can totally tell it’s Stephen King’s son but he has his own style and story… heart shaped box by him and his newest one is also really great! Horns is my fave of his but he’s a great writer!!
@MadKatt, if you like vintage horror novels, I really recommend Grady Hendrix’s “Paperbacks From Hell.”
It’s a non-fiction book about the history and artwork of horror novels from the sixties to about the nineties. But it’s a lot of fun.
It won a Bram Stoker award.
Omygoodness thankyou so much for the recommendation!!! I can’t wait to find it!!!
Yeah, you welcome. Amazon should have it. And if you’re tight on money, hopefully your library carries it.
I will check both!!! A new book!!! I’m so excited!!!
