To join a group of other people with sz/sza in activities and support meetings? I am going tomorrow for the first time and I’m kind of freaking out about it. Other than on here and my cousin who I see once a year I have no other contact.
Has something like this been good for you or did it stress you out?
I’ve never met another sz/sza at a meeting, just a lot of bipolar folks. I’d love to be in a group with one. I met one at a vocational program but didn’t have time to talk to her about it at all. Is the group specifically for schizophrenic individuals?
I generally do great at meetings, I just stay quiet so they don’t expect me to lead or anything. Maybe talk just a little but mostly listen.
For schizophrenia and schizoaffective
Oh that’s great! I wish I could find a meeting like that. I’d be looking forward to it if I was you
I am kind of but I really have a hard time around new people
It was enjoyable for a while, then I developed a chronic headache and stopped going.
The people in my club were friendly and invited me to go places, like Victoria, BC, and to the movie theatre every Tuesday (I think that’s when tickets are cheapest.)
