I bought a very large, fresh, fileted cod fish and froze it. Last night, I thawed it, cut it up, and fried it in oil with seasoning. It turned out beautiful.
I had two pieces of cod fish with mixed vegetables and rice. I topped the fish with some tartar sauce, the rice with some Kikkoman soy sauce, and the vegetables with butter and salt. My was that good!
And it’s easier to make than you think. I get my fish at the fresh meat or butcher’s section of the grocery store. I either store it in the freezer and thaw it overnight when I want to cook it the next day, or I cut it up immediately into palm sized pieces and fry all of the pieces in oil in a frying pan.
I buy Uncle Ben’s Ready Rice that comes in microwaveable pouches. One pouch takes only 90 seconds in the microwave. Two pouches together only takes 2 and a half minutes.
Modern frozen vegetables are easy to heat up in the microwave. There you have your meal.
I’m getting groceries tonight. I’m going to make a beef roast with onions, carrots and potatoes in my crockpot sometime this week. Possibly even tonight. I’m going to try to get a recipe off of the internet.
