as of last december or so i have been trying to discover what i would be best at that i could go far with winning. in december i signed up for the USCF or united states chess federation membership and had planned on playing official rated tournaments on chess.com however every night they host a tournament i can not find the listing for it to join so i have not played in one official tournament yet.
as of last friday i have been playing Mortal Kombat for PC everyday even if only for 10 minutes but usually for about 30 to 45 minutes a day to start out with and get my basics and oriented down.
right now i am fixed on video games since they provide entertainment as well as an outlet to get involved with, so thats where my mind is going that maybe i can be a winner at video games. and by winner i mean something like winning multiple tournaments in a winning spree/streak or what not.
if you can think of anything else that would be possible for me to get into that would take some practice for me to get good at and start winning that i would enjoy and be good at please dont hesitate to mention it!
I spent 13 years trying to go pro at FPS games, playing for hours a day, but my elbows gave out on me due to rheumatoid arthritis. The gaming was damned fun but I sincerely wish I had tried to “git gud” at business instead of having wasted all that time.
Gaming doesn’t open many doors for a person, it’s very consumer-oriented and limiting.
I’m ever so slowly getting good at piano and keyboard. it’s been a long, long haul.
you probably just saved me 13 years of going down a rabbit hole that i wouldnt have got much out of. may God bless you on this day and forever more!
Dude keep your hobby… games are fun… online games can be fun too… emulators for retro gaming… lots of classic pc games are now free or abandonware… before buying id recommend watching youtube videos of gameplay…
I do well at trivia games but there are lots of people that do better.

back before cheating took a strong hold halo 3s ranking used to be distributed like this… I was ranked a 47 just 4 bars away from the right…
It looks like the community matured to be distributed like this (Whole lot more players)
Still the whole time I’d run into players (or teams of players which is a big advantage) who’d just totally spank me and leave me useless… there was always a whole new tier of skill beyond mine.
and though I was never near the best of them… I am pretty proud… that’s like the top 2-3% of players if you look at the volumes.
I’m pretty good at BF3 and BF4.

dude I have mastered drinking beer and playing corn hole. I didn’t lose one summer. Cornhole is kinda like horseshoes except its much easier. I’ve also heard it called bag toss, but this is blasphemy. the game is cornhole
I’ve won next to nothing my whole life so either my talent is nonexistent or I have way too high of a standard. I’m good at a few things but something I really want to win would be r/c related whether helicopter tricks or car races or a sailboat races.
