No, it’s an interest/hobby. It’s like playing sports.

But in sports you are active and you are more healthy you communicate with people in person
I don’t say professional sports are healthy but it’s better to jog in morning then to sit in room at pc
If you get pleasure from it there’s nothing wrong with it imo, just do it in moderation.

I wasn’t very clear, I meant if you get pleasure from video games then there’s nothing wrong with that.
If you enjoy doing an activity then that’s 1 good reason for doing it, but you should weigh up the negatives too if there are any.
Eating and sex are fine in moderation, drugs may give pleasure but they can have severe negative effects in some cases.

if all you do is play video games I see no harm in that…I know ppl like that…I like to listen to music all day long, but I exercise too…so there’s that.

Yeah, I don’t play for long hours tho.
I play for an hour, take a break, play for another hour and so forth.
But yeah, it’s pretty much like U said, through dopamine bursts.
