A YouTuber asked me for $20 on cash app saying it was an emergency and I declined and immediately after I declined he started a live video saying he needed donations so he could party. Should I block him?
Not sure why anybody would give money to strangers like that. I used to give to charity or obviously poor people, but once I made the mistake of giving to a person who admitted using it on booze, in other words an alcoholic.
I don’t give money to strangers on the internet.
Sometimes I give money to beggars in Brussels. In my city we don’t have them.
I don’t generally give people online money. Occasionally I’ll give a hungry or homeless person some money on the street. I do donate to the homeless shelter though.
What kind of cash app allows scammer YouTubers to contact people?!
Yes. 。°。°。°。°。°
My co-worker lost $25,000 to an on-line romance scam.
He showed up at the airport with roses expecting her arrival from Russia. There were ten other dudes with flowers waiting for the same gal.
Needless to say, she never showed up.
Yes. Sure. Block. And report if possible, to protect others, i don’t know how youtube works though.
Chances are it was someone pretending to be a famous youtuber IMO.
Another thing I see often is ordinary people asking for donations because they miscalculated their outgoings and will be short at the end of the month. I find it kind of scummy that people literally beg other people for free money from others in such a casual way.
