What do you pay for psychiatric care?

Medicare allows $46.33 for a half-hour session once a week with a Certified Licensed Social Worker, and my share is $9.27.

For the hour long group therapy once a week it’s $18.35, my share being $3.67.

I rarely see the psychiatrist.

I pay 50€ to see my pdoc once a month. Meds cost a couple of euros. I take Invega, clozapine and recently Wellbutrin. When I saw a psychologist I paid 60€ for one hour. That’s about it. (1€= 1.2$)

It sounds like you are paying more than I am.

According to Google a Euro is 1.19 US Dollars.

It’s free for me otherwise I would have to pay 30€ every appointment.

Back in 2008 I was homeless, and my current psychiatric care provider started treating me on indigent funding. I’m on government disability now with Medicare insurance. I didn’t get the Medicare until September 2010.

In 2008, I was involuntarily hospitalized. My mom petitioned the court to have me involuntarily committed.

We have the NHS in England.

Because I work I have to pay for my drugs, but you can get a special licence that costs about £11 per month

Everything else is free, but I do pay my taxes, and that’s what they choose to spend it on.

I have probably cost them a lot of money in my life time.

The fact we don’t pay at point of use is great, but treatment is limited as are their resources.

If I paid to go private, it would costs a small fortune.

I told my Public Defender I didn’t want to testify, but I wouldn’t resist if ordered into treatment.

It’s $25 per session for me no matter what, whether it’s individual or group, and whether it’s 30 minutes or 60 minutes

It sounds like $12.94 a week is a deal for me.

20$ per psychologist appointment.

It’d be 60$ for a psychiatrist

My prescription drug insurance is $25.30 a month, and I’m paying about $20 to $30 a month in copays. The Abilify is like $12.00 and the diabetes med is like $8.00. The rest are less than $5.00.

I don’t pay anything towards my treatment or support. I seen community nurse every 3 weeks and he’s always available if I need to speak/see him before that. I see pdoc every 6 months. I get 31 support hours a week paid from social services. Because of section 117 aftercare I don’t pay towards that. My friends I live with in supported housing have to pay around £200 a month out their PIP (disability benefit) for their support and they have less support than me. I don’t pay anything for Invega injection or any medication really.

I’m in government subsidized housing and I pay 30% of my income towards rent and utilities. The Medicare premium is around $145.00 a month, but they subtract that from my disability check before I get it.

The state I live in, Arkansas, doesn’t tax Social Security benefits (disability pay). If all you receive is Social Security, the US government doesn’t tax it either if it’s under $25,000 a year.

I’m on my Moms insurance I pay 10 dollars a month for meds and 25 dollars per Dr visit I don’t know what I’m going to do once I lose insurance
