So many ba-pe-dee boo-pe-dee’s!
Short story if you’re down to read :
My parents lived in Italy for lots of years. When they first moved to the States, their very first American pizza experience was at a Pizza Hut.
My dad ordered a pizza for all of us, and when the pizza came to the table, my parents looked at the pepperonis on it and were like, “what is this?”
…Pretty sure some “cazzo’s” were said .
The server said, “sir, that is pepperoni.”
My dad was like “no, that is not pepperoni.”
“Sir, I’m pretty sure that’s pepperoni…”
They might have gone back and forth for a couple minutes— my dad in broken English and the poor server guy just trying to get through his shift.
Lo and behold, my dad I guess thought that he was ordering a pizza with green and red peppers on it, which in some parts of Italy is called pepperone.
So yea, the server had to kindly explain to my parents that pepperoni in the States is actually cured meat, and not peppers .
Have you tried the spanish drink “gazpacho”? It has the same ingredients as a marinara pizza with vegetables (bread, olive oil, salt, a lot of tomatoes, cucumber, peppers, etc.) but it´s cold… and you use a blender.
One of my favourite drinks. But its a bit of a hassle to make.
Maybe it calms your appetite for pizza!
Of course! It´s salami picante if you want that on your pizza…

Pepperoni, onions ,green pepper, mushroom, olives and sausage. I’m also a ranch dressing enjoyer so I add it to the pizza every time i can.
Thin crust sausage and onion, or Sicilian meat lovers at a good place. Yum!

Supreme with everything including pineapple and anchovies…Or…Meat. Throw any meat on it with a good bar b que sauce.
I like pepperoni, mushrooms, and spinach on a stuffed crust pizza. Sometimes I make homemade pizza that’s healthier than delivery (but honestly it doesn’t taste as good as delivery!)
Italian sausage, double ham, double bacon. I know… super healthy.
Ground beef and pineapples… yes I enjoy pineapple on my pizza. Deal with it

our go to is pepperoni, but I found a frozen pizza called “screamin’ sicilian” that is our go to now…the best pizza I ever ate was at Flip’s wine bar and trattoria where it was a vegetarian pizza with sun dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, and capers…loved it…it has sauce and cheese on it too.
I’m from New Jersey and we have the best pizza in the USA.
