I’m feeling a little down. What are some of the things you guys do to have fun or cheer up? I started a new med a while ago and all I think about most of the time is food. What do you guys do to get out of a rut? Something that doesn’t cost money hopefully. I shop too much as it is.
Some times… I color something mentally relaxing and it cheers me up. There are lots of Mandala down loads on-line.
I know I’m pretty lucky… I can also play scrabble with my sis or my girlfriend.
I go to the dog park or browse at a no-kill pet shelter.
You can do this even if you don’t or can’t have or can’t afford pets.
I do some walking or listen to oldies.
I talk to my cat, watch tv. read, check the internet and my email, or wear a perfumed oil. I would like to walk; but, I am waiting for the weather to improve. I also sometimes talk to my sister who is now in spirit; no longer in body.
sorry you lost your sister…here is a really , really , really big bunny
hug.
take care
For me,I play football and exercise to stop my bad mood deteriorating…I try not to think so much also
music and photoshop and videogames.
I do anything but work to cheer up. For instance, my friends are in town for spring break and I’m not doing any work today
Today I watched an old mountain bike video I loved as a kid. It also has a great soundtrack
I will usually sit next to my dog and pet him, interact with him
maggotbrain the other day I went to my peptshop and they have these baby lizard there theyre really cute they look like miniature dinasaurs but sweet.
With chronic depression, cheerfulness can sometimes seem impossible. I think back to my years as a kid and think about what made me feel good or happy. Then I attempt those memories to see if they still work. Going out to a scenic wonderland in nature is cool. My 9 year old granddaughter takes my mind off my own s#+@. Being thankfully to God helps.
