What do you do each day?

I just stay home doing stuff all. I have no motivation to do anything and I also have panic attacks when I go out sometimes which puts me off even going for a walk

I go to art therapy and warrior recovery on Mondays then day group skills training the rest of the week at the VA medical center. But when I’m home I work on my artwork. This weekend I’m going to move my art studio space and start working on collage pieces.

Worked from 7:45 am to 5:15 pm. Made supper. Cleaned the kitchen. Doing some maintenance on my online hobbyist radio station. Charging camera batteries for a photo outing this weekend. Need to do another half hour of French lessons before bed.

I like to keep busy.

I am so glad that you are so productive. You don’t sound like schizophrenic at all. What medicine you are taking now?

Sorry that panic attack stop you from going outside. Try to discuss this issue with your therapist or doctor. Hope you find a solution soon.

I wake up and then work, then when I am off work I work on projects I am doing with other people. I do best when I stay busy.

Every day is different. Today I helped houseclean in the morning, took the bus home at lunch time, took a nap, folded laundry, and am about to shower and sleep. My days used to be busier but my energy is low lately. It used to be that I exercised twice a day and attended day treatment.

Exercise is good. Helps in lots of ways and is free. I do volunteering at my cricket club. It’s in the city an hour away so I usually go in 2 or so days a week and cut the grass and help out. I also play cricket most weekends all year around.

Lack of motivation is common but forcing yourself to exercise really can help! It takes a bit to get going but set some realistic goals and work towards them.

Gosh seeing you guys do so much makes me feel bad. (No offense) I honestly find it hard to get off the couch :frowning:

I usually get up around 6, make breakfast for the kid, watch cartoons for an hour while I play on my phone and check the calendar. Entertain the kid until lunch. Make lunch. Play on my phone and entertain the kid until 4pm when my partner gets off work. Then I veg for a bit. Then start making dinner. Then clean up a bit and play. Then we all watch an episode of something together before the kid goes to bed. Then I veg on the couch playing in my phone until about 11pm when I go to bed.

I got a joboffer. Doing simple work for 4 weeks in my own time. Good pay. I got to cancel, i am to tired. I already have thoughts jumping of a bridge. My famous last words: when i could live like you i would love to live.

It’s not just lack of motivation, I use up the entire day’s energy in 2 hours of light physical activity. I guess going to day treatment just taught me that if I don’t take it easy, I’ll just end up loosing even more energy the next day. My friends and day treatment counselors all seem to act like I’m not trying hard enough and not challenging myself enough… I guess one of them wants me to have more clients. Today was in fact me trying hard to be productive… I also seem to be having trouble getting clients right now so why rush?

Yeah, I keep getting told that.

20mg/day Geodon + Amyloban 3399 + Sarcosine + Rosemary Oil (diffused). Adding broccoli extract to the mix next. The medicine and supplements give you a foundation to build on, but you’re still the one who has to build something:

  1. Follow medical advice, be honest with your doc and never screw with your treatment. Take your pills, especially when you hate them.
  2. Keep a recovery journal.
  3. Therapy when possible, therapy books when not.
  4. CBT.
  5. Positive, recovery oriented attitude.
  6. Improve diet and exercise habits where possible.
  7. Plan/Schedule. Use this to develop good habits and overcome the inertia of negative symptoms.

Regarding the last point: Pick one small thing you will do every day. Schedule it. Keep track of it (recovery journal). When you’ve done it for two weeks with only a few missed days, add a second thing. Then a third. And keep adding until you are damn busy and stay that way.

Don’t expect overnight results, it took me a good ten years to achieve okay function and twenty years to achieve great function. You’re in it for the long haul.

Hope this helps.

Yeah @anon62973308 I do relate. I often don’t get out of first gear. I just plod along and it’s so much harder to get things done. Still. I think exercise helps me cognitively and in other ways for sure. Not saying it’s for everyone but little steps.

I would like to exercise more if I could handle it, but I’m getting sick of baby steps. I have one goal and that is to keep my job for 6 months. Otherwise I’m just hoping to spend less money and get my daily activities done. I don’t have much in my life I can change right now. At least nothing big. I’ve been told by many people including day treatment that I’m being unmotivated but I’m trying to focus on the long run, I guess, and in the long run keeping setting small goals for myself will make no difference. Not like I’ll ever work much again…

I pretty much lay in the bed all day long, since there is no motivation/point in doing anything else.

I pretty much workout 6 days a week and go to church on sunday, then eat and do chores. here’s my new schedule

8am-9am, wake, make veggie juice and turkey burger, consume both
9am-10am, stretch
10am-1030am, walk or run
1030am-1130am, eat breakfast
1130am-noon, say hello to internet friends
noon-3pm, workout
3pm-4pm, eat lunch
4pm-5pm, shower, shave, groom etc.
5pm-7pm, clean do chores, prep dinner
7pm-8pm, eat dinner
8pm-10pm, watch ballgame
10pm-11pm, eat 5th meal
11pm-8am, sleep

I’m shut in 92% of my day with the cardboard over my window, visiting the same few websites. Then it’s time to drive to a parking lot and treat it like an actual park. There I write crybaby stuff and sketch for a graphic design.

Wake up around 8am, shower, dress, straighten my hair, went UPS, to the park, and grocery shopping. Then I ate chicken tika masala. I will try to pack for our move.

Not much. Stay in bed mostly. Gonna start going gym in a month with someone if I have the energy. Them being there would motivate me to do it. Can’t wait. It will break up my days.
I like to read a bit too
Spend quite substantial effort going out for food shopping
