Mine is 128gb internal but I also have a micro SD card of 128gb in it. I can stick a 512gb card in there if I want.

Cool. With newer smartphones as of recent… micro SD cards cannot be mounted as external drives. For example, iPhones have not to my recent memory permitted micro SD cards. My S23 Ultra doesn’t have or allow for micro SD Cards which is unfortunate.

I have no idea. LOL. I just delete photos when it says it’s getting full.

Of course you do… all those terabytes of photos just go into the trash can…

I don’t think there is terabytes for phones yet.:face_with_diagonal_mouth:

Yeah, well… I don’t see how any person could use up 2 terabytes of data which is the next capacity. Instead, 1.5TB is being offered.

No capacity problem here. But I don’t really use my phone for much.

Videos take up a lot of space in smartphones with photos second. Also, apps such as those for online banking, credit card payments, voice assistance, smart home console, food ordering, share riding… etc… use up capacity.

Eventually phones will unlock cars & door locks for homes but in addition to ID such as plane tickets, driver’s license & passports.

The future is a paperless world and the smartphone is making it happen.

Not a fan of this prospect. Sure for those who want to use all that technology stuff that’s fine. But for me, honestly it’s more convenient to use a physical key and have id cards at hand, maybe a small inconvenience, but it takes less time to use them. Phones will always be a target for theft, plus it’s easier to lose it because you use it and put it places all the time. And then there’s the problem if the internet signals go down, or the power. It could easily happen in a crisis, say a war. The idea that we can depend on technology for everything is a bit of a illusion in my opinion.

Those are good points about the downside of using a smartphone. I am sure a majority of smartphone makers would attempt to solve all those misgivings and criticisms of smartphones. Not sure if you have children but they will be the people when they are grown up to use this technology. For every solution to a problem there will be new problems to those recently applied solutions. It’s a cycle. Technology is a tool to assist and simplify the lives of humans for convenience sakes. People will not depend on technology for everything.

I always get the least memory when I buy a phone to save money. There’s no way I’ll ever run out of my 128gb lol, I hardly ever take pictures

Plus you can always get cloud services if needed

128gb but I wanted 256gb.

Couldn’t finance the higher storage Google PIxel 8 Pro though, so went with 128gb.

I use Google drive anyways, so just clear my photos out once every 6 months. I figure this phone will last me 2-3 years before my next upgrade.
