I can hardly made a decision. I mean it has seldom been easy for me to make decision. And I change my mind from time to time. It is getting more uncomfortable to me as I can’t think straight. Is there remedy for executive deficits?
Executive functioning is rampant among schizophrenics. I have it. I took a very thorough and rigorous battery of psychological testing some years ago, and I was told that it’s par for the course. How to overcome it? Not sure if you can overcome it…it’s poor wiring of certain parts of the brain.
@goggles is that you? Welcome back. I’ve been hoping you’ve been doing well.
As far as how to improve functioning… I got outside help. I had to relearn stuff and practice. I’ve been using tutoring help at school for memory and comprehension
I’ve been reviewing my therapy notes for ways to get through my day.
Sorry it’s a vague answer… but everyone gets through their day differently.
I once did an online battery of tests with the results sent to me by email and scored below average for executive functioning.
The executive functioning deficit that stands out most for me is planning and organising.
Dont think of it and behave as normally as possible, get busy talking to a friend, working out, listen to music, the point from all this is learning how to coop. If you can coop nothing should stop you!
