What can I do to calm down

I’m feeling way too “up”. I know I’ll be depressed and possibly suicidal later.

I’m not going to the ER. I just want to calm myself down.

I’ve got no advice, but I hope they’re able to help you feel better. Stay safe.

Turn off the internet…have a glass of hot milk and a banana…they are rich with stuff called tryptophan which helps you sleep.
And remember ’ this too shall pass’.

I, too, shall sleep now :sheep:

You’re not prescribed benzos are you?

I don’t think you’ll feel suicidal just a little warn out and tired. Hang in there.

No, im not…

cycle:
manic>
weird behavior>
less manic>
regretful/embarrassed>
shame>
suicidal thinking.

I do light weights at the gym to keep calm. Go and eat a little of what you like and maybe do some reading. Keep occupied on things that are positive like having a clean home and an organised space be positive in your environment and internally.

What are you ashamed about? Why the guilt? There are changes that you need in your life that’s all.

You’re right. I need to exercise and eat better, and clean up my environment.

And you can also have choices in your life. For me I didn’t choose my friends well and ended up being a looser druggie amongst other things now I have boundarys and self respect. I don’t feel like I’m under other people and know my true worth know your true worth have self beleive. Things will one day get better and you will escape this hell.

Can someone PM me

When I’m wired, I find cleaning helps a lot. Also, taking deep breaths. Find a guided breathing exercise on YouTube. You have experience meditating, so it should come fairly easily to you.

Do you think you’re having a panic attack?

Don’t know what to call it @chew, but basically when I’m in my normal state, I think, and this is something my therapist agrees with, about 5 times as much as an average human. Right now I’d say the speed is double and the thoughts are double. So many thoughts. Don’t know how to slow down.

Try putting an ice pack on your forehead and the back of your head. You’re overheating your brain right now and this will slow it back down.

I talk to my self like “have a bath”.
If I’m like “what am I doing”…

A bath can be comforting n soothing.

You could bake n eat freshly baked buns with some tea.

Or make porridge or comfort food.

Be loving ,supportive n kind to yourself.

Go for walk if you feel able to go out.

Go for dip.
Find a sauna.

Drink some water so you don’t get dehydrated.

Talk to your dr or make appointment to see your gp or talk to someone else or if you don’t feel can turn to them or anyone turn to this site n keep updated n try chat with someone live back n forth.
