What are your extra expenses this month?

This may be an expensive month for me.

  1. Wife wants to do something with her floors in her condo in order to get it to sell faster. We stripped her nasty carpet off but, unfortunately, the wood floors underneath are far from perfect. I would just strip and polyeurathane them, but its up two flights of stairs and it would be a ■■■■■ getting the floor sander up there. So most likely we will be hiring someone to put some new carpet down.
  2. Bought a large long distance roof antenna to install so wife can watch her antenna shows here. We cant seem to get reception off her small indoor one.
  3. Wife wants to replace the murphy bed/frame in her condo as well to help it sell.
  4. Hoping to get garage cleaned out so can pay to have both the large garage door(and opener) and the “man” door this month. Really need to get that done before winter so I can park in the garage. Less chance of car not starting that way.
  5. May work on getting fencing around house fixed this month. Not 100% sure on that one. May wait until next month.
  6. Doing a lot of nickle and diming on small things we want/need for the new house. Like mattress pad for bed and the like.
  7. Probably will get a new TV this month. Im not sure I should count this though, as we will be taking this out of the money I save on cigarettes.

Thats all the “non monthly”, non standard expenses that I can think of for this month.

How is your months expenses?

No extra expenses this year. I’m focused on saving. Next year I need a sump pump. Hopefully nothing pops up. Amazon can nickel and dime you out of a G easily if you go on there everyday. I’m 45 now. There’s not many things I want that I haven’t already bought for myself. I don’t think I’m becoming more responsible with age. I just feel like I’ve spent money years and years on what I wanted. Now I don’t want nothing so I’m forced to save. I don’t always think growing up is maturing. Sometimes your just done. Good things.

We could use a sump pump eventually as well. We dont have one here.

By month’s end, I will have spent most of the month in Anchorage…half as an inpatient and half as an outpatient. I’m staying at a boarding house on hospital grounds for free, and Medicaid gives me a daily debit of $36 to spend on food at the hospital cafeteria. The biggest expense is the rental car my mom got for us to use while in Anchorage. We use it for general transportation and we visited the musk ox farm in Palmer last weekend.

I’m so glad your doing well @WhiteRaven and have enough funding. I hope you carry on feeling good about things. I’m doing better now on this new med , its helping with depression.

I’m not sure if it will be this month or not, because I have been waiting to do the initiation day, but I plan to pay a license to shoot in a club, I plan to buy psychology books, and depending if I need it soon or not I’ll buy saffron

We had to pay for my husband’s colonoscopy and endoscopy this month and since our insurance didn’t cover all of it we had a shell out a little over $2,000 for it. It really put us behind in our savings but thankfully my hubby is fine. The tests came out negative.
