What are you doing today?

I’m supposed to go over to my sister’s place for a visit with the grandbabies at some point. But no one has any idea when so I guess it’s just going to be a surprise. Hopefully I can manage to get dressed before someone comes to pick me up. lol.

I have a ton of stuff on my to do list, but I have been getting stuff done each day despite a total lack of motivation. So that’s good. Today I’ll just focus on the everyday things like dishes, litterbox and trash. If I get more done, bonus.

So what about you? Anything fun or exciting? Anything boring or mundane? What are you doing today?

Same here. But aside from some light cleaning I’ll be practicing the banjo and I am trying to get a certain dog outside to potty but he’s being very stubborn bc his daddy went camping without him.

Phil may or may not have a guy from Madison coming to buy a piece of his stereo equipment, that will be a quick 500 bucks cash,

but he’s not sure if the guy will bail.
I’d like to clean the bathrooms today, we’ll see.
I’ll probably sit on the deck awhile, its a nice day.

I don’t have much to do today or tomorrow. The busses aren’t running because it’s Labor Day

I’ve got to take my fat dog on 2 walks,

One in a minute and one tonight.

Between that I’ve got a ton of cleaning to do.

This place was super clean yesterday,

But my husband had a friend over to play pool and they trashed the place.

yeah, Phil buys cheap usually from The Underground here, he’s become good friends with the owner,
they travel to get the equipment,
and then Phil fixes it up.

at first I was like, why has my house turned into a warehouse,
but usually it goes pretty quickly. and I love music too, always have.

It’s amazing what people will pay. I found a Pioneer SX 780 that someone ditched at the recycle centre. Recapped it, some new resistors, and added LED lamps. A bit of cleanup. Sold it for $400 USD on eBay. Refurb cost me about $19 and two hours.

wow, that was a good find.

Phil says everybody is selling stereo equipment,
but he won’t lower his prices.

and also once he bought a boat moter for a hundred bucks,
and sold it for 600. He also does boat repair too.

no idea how we’re together, almost polar opposites in that regard.

Man, don’t. Check out what stuff is going for on eBay when pricing. It’s amazing what people will pay for a classic seventies receiver in good nick. I even make bank on Realistic components now.

yep yep. he’s got about 5 sets of speakers,
our neighbors probably hate us! ha.

I downsized from my big speakers to a decent set of classic Mission bookshelf units. Refoamed them and they sound good. My hearing is so crap now that better speakers are wasted on me. I’m currently on the hunt for another reel-to-reel, but am otherwise happy with my setup.

Celebrating my holiday as I’m a worker.

yeah, hearing, huh? why does that happen. I think mine is more keen due to sz and voices and sounds seem amplified. idk.

Phil sells a reel to reel with tape too. he’s never taught me how to use it, he’s pretty touchy about his stuff. but yeah, we still got a lot of tape, all the classics.

I did a bit of reading today.
