Going into research as well as hopefully providing targeted therapy for those with psychotic disorders! I’m rushing to the front line

I’m taking my meds and putting up with side effects. So anyone who knows me will think schizophrenia just means eccentric and/or lazy. So I’m leading the propaganda effort!

I’m leading the fight to get Schizoaffective Disorder added to the list of conditions you can get disability for!
Can’t you get disability for it currently? I’m in Australia so I don’t know the American system.
I know there are people here with schizophrenia with disability. Seems odd that the government would treat the two conditions so differently when it comes to disability.
Good luck getting it, I hope you win.
I wrote a book about my experience with schizophrenia. I hope it fights the stigma that we are dangerous…

I take medication when told to. try to just accept my abnormalities and do my best to not hurt others or myself.

I think there’s a fundamental flaw in the war effort. Did you ever see a Bruce Lee movie? Well, Bruce would go out to buy a pack of gum at 2:00 AM (who the heck does that?), and he’d encounter 100 guys with bad intentions. They would line up and fight Bruce one at a time.So what’s my point? My point is that we need to organize instead of having individual battles against schizophrenia.

I’m sure NAMI is full of well-intended people, but they’re simply not getting the job done as far as I’m concerned. Thus I’m creating a radical advocacy group for people with schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder. It’s name will be the Schizophrenia Coalition in Transforming Zeitgeist Oppression (SCITZO). If you join in the next 30 minutes I’ll double your membership. That’s right, two memberships for the price of one. BUT WAIT. I’ll even throw in a waffle iron.
