You should look online, there’s a plethora of options available.

There are a lot…Better to go hand in hand with therapist…!!!
Among them CBT is common…!!

Wish I could answer the question. I had bigger breakthroughs in therapies getting lost in trying and understanding a few of the different therapies. Small list https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_psychotherapies

In classic psychotherapy I think the idea is for the patient to project his emotions and inner conflicts on the pdoc, who is a passive partner in the treatment. I think that is still what most psychiatrists practice today. That’s all well and good, but it doesn’t work well with someone who is reticent or withdrawn. Personally, I would prefer another type of treatment.

CBT seems to be the most common (at least in Australia). DBT is making some headway and has developed a good track record so far in treating BPD. I bought my wife the DBT manual and workbooks and I’ve looked through them and I think just about anyone (neurotypicals included) would benefit from such strategies. At its core it is about balancing Logic/Reason and Emotion to achieve “Wise Mind”.

I’m trying to do the CBT fir Depression Workbook. I don’t get it. The concepts escape me. I understand what they mean when I read it but can’t come up with my own stuff. Its like the don’t throw stones at glass houses thing. I get it when they explain it, but then don’t.
