I take 40 mg of Lexapro. I figured it out, that when I didn’t take the Lexapro I got more depressed. So the Lexapro blocked me from getting more depressed. It doesn’t make me happier, but it keeps me from getting depressed. What antidepressant do you take.
None was supposed to start sertraline after being stable on lamotragine but got a reaction so I’m off meds for now
I take Zoloft it’s so far the only antidepressant that has worked for me but lately idk been slightly depressed
Zoloft 100mg
Helps with my depression but doesn’t fully cure it.
75mg Deprevix in the morning
And 150mg Deprevix in noon
I still get depressed too, but I think my antidepressant blocks me from getting depressed, so I still think it makes a big difference.
I take zoloft. It’s the best one I’ve found so far.
I take Venlafaxine each morning. Works very good. I haven’t had a major depressive episode in over a year.
None. I used to take sertraline. It helped me but I don’t need it anymore.
I take 300mg of wellbutrin
Celexa and doxepin
I dont dare take antidepressants.
I used venlafaxine. They said there were no side effects or withdrawal. It worked, but by flattening my mood. I couldnt feel sad, touched, or really happy. When i withdrew i got psychosis and mood swings and had to start antipsychotics. Zoloft made me impulsive and hypomanic and also psychotic for the second time upon withdrawal.
I dont think AD are for me.
I use a bit of saffron tea when i feel extremely down. Just for a short while. This works.
I take 120 mg of Cymbalta. That’s a new increase for me. I’m feeling better.
My diagnosis is only SZ with negative symptoms. I don’t have depression but I have severe negative symptoms. I took Wellbutrin and it made me slightly psychotic so my psy stopped it and said there is no meds for your negative symptoms.
What’s the difference between depression and SZ negative symptoms? I can’t see a difference.
sertraline 150mg.1515115
I take a below therapeutic dose of 20 mg of Celexa. It seems to be enough for me.
In depression negative symptoms emotions are present both happy, sad, anger etc while in schizo negative symptoms emotions are dulled equally so both happy, sad, anger are equally dulled. A better term for negative symptoms in schizo is affective flattening or blunted affect or in a more severe form called flat affect.
This is why depressive people get strong negative emotions which make them angry, suicidal etc while in schizo and other conditions this strong emotion either happy or sad is not there and thus they wont likely affected by those situations, thoughts, criticism etc.
In depression antidepressants actually numb those emotions so that those negative emotions won’t likely affect the individual as much but the side affect is it also numb all emotions equally, its like taking alcohol or sedative to feel nothing.
