What an effing joke

I couldn’t finish the treadmill stress test. But what he saw was good but can’t be 100% sure since I had to quit. Another useless tests. I’m so frustrated not knowing what is wrong with me.

I told them. They pretty much treated me like I was a child or a very old person as soon as they heard schizoaffective disorder.

I was treated like a heroin addict in the ER by the doctors.
I’m sorry that you went through this @FatMama.
I know what you mean.

I don’t touch drugs by the way.

I get arm pain but I could swear it’s from painful injections and a vaccination.

@Wave ,what IF you are heroin addict or sz gives right to dr to treat you differently. When I was in ER about my knee injury, orthopedic told me I’m sane and no need for psy meds.

My brother was there with me.

I know better than to try and be independent. My sister would’ve gladly gone along.

Like you, once they found out that I suffered with sza they treated me like I was a drug addicted hobo.
It was an awful experience.

They made me wait in the ER for hours.

I was treated like crap.

Our local hospital is abysmal. When I overdosed they treated me like a criminal. It was all a big mess. Ì was so thankful my pdoc told them off and got me to the mental health facility. Way nicer there.

I’m frankly afraid to go to the ER now.
Last time they involuntarily commited me and shipped me out to an awful psych hospital.

@Wave, you must have a crummy hospital there.

A few months ago, when I went to an ER on the verge of suicide, I wrote “suicidal” as my reason for being there, and they took me back almost immediately.

In 2016, at a different ER, one in my neighborhood that I had walked to, I wrote on the slip “psychotic prodrome,” or something along those lines, since that’s what it felt like to me. The waiting room was packed full, but when the triage nurse saw my slip he took me back almost immediately. I also was taken straight to an ER room from triage, didn’t have to go back out to the waiting room to wait for an ER room to open up.

The hospitals are top notch for “normal” people.
But once they find out that your a psych patient they will treat you like a second class citizen.

That’s been my experience too.

Me too.Your voice is not worth there.Speaking from Eastern Europe, hospitals are worst then prisons.

Arlbar, they have a second version of the stress test that is chemical. They pump you full of one drug that makes your heart go for a couple of minutes and they give you a second that cancels the first drug. That is still an option!
