Went to my first meeting

I was totally caught off guard, I was informed this afternoon that there was an art council meeting tonight.

It only gave me about an hour and 40 minutes to cook dinner, shower and leave.

I ended up going.

It was good. I’m definitely not used to being apart of anything though… Lol.

We had to go around the room introducing ourselves.
I also had brought 2 paintings to share.

When it was my turn and I went to hold up the first painting, my hands were shaking like crazy I was so nervous, I just straight up said to everyone, “I’m so nervous I’m shaking”.

Everyone was super nice though, and talented. Much more than me I feel… But that’s okay.

I’m glad I went.

Telling everyone youre nervous if youre visibly shaking is probably the best way to handle it if its a more casual thing lol. I think people appreciate the honesty more and are less likely to feel weird about it

That’s what I was thinking as well before I said it, cause I could tell that I was visibly getting more nervous lol.
