With my two sisters in the hills. I did fine. I was a little worried I would not be able to do it physically. In fact in the first ten minutes I was breathing hard but I got my second wind and we ended up hiking for 45 minutes uphill and then turned around and came back. I enjoyed it, there were some great views and we talked the whole time. After hiking, we stopped and had lunch on the way back at a Whole Foods grocery store/restaurant.

That’s great! I was told once if you walk on sand (instead of pavement) you get a better workout. I assume the same can be said for hiking!
The mountains are about a half hour to an hour up the state highway from me and I am just waiting for the rhodendrens, dogwood, and azaleas to bloom and I will be hiking again; just like I used to do with my beloved sister when she was with me and healthy before she went to Spirit!

i’ve been doing a bit of walking myself,
not as much as you but you have to start somewhere eh lol
i got up and out at about 7am this morning and it was nice and foggy
my walk is only about 15 mins long but it is so nice, i love the trees and the reflection from the water and the sound of bird calls
nature is so awesome
I’m sure that hills are cool but being from Alaska I miss the mountains.
I know what you are saying, and to me it’s funny how they call most of these rolling formations ‘mountains’ when in fact they are just hills…

I now walk 40 mins first thing in morning and 20 min in afternoon
