Welcome a new journalist

They accepted me to study masters of journalism!!!
Omg,
Sadly, not for free…
Both sad and happy at the same time :sweat:

Congratulations.

Most people have to pay for their education, so I think it’s the most common scenario.

Edit: Is your program in Lithuanian or English @HyperactiveNectar ?

@Jonathan2 big big thanks to you.

I start feeling relaxed now… Finally the waiting is over

In Lithuanian

In Belgium. Most programs are in Dutch or French. But more and more Masters are being done in English these days.

In Madrid the program is mainly in English, but in the final year the internship is in Spanish. So I have some time to perfect my Spanish.

Edit: Are you going to request help from your parents or are you planning to get loans or work to pay for the costs @HyperactiveNectar ?

I believe I will both ask for help and work…

So I really need a job at the moment.

And by the way… succeeding languages is amazing thing !!

I hope you can find something that you like.
It’s very admirable that you’re trying to work and study while taking meds.

In my first pre-sz studies I also studied and worked part-time. You’re definitely going to be a busy lady!

Yup I want to find a job which I like.
You’re being super supportive, @Jonathan2
Big thanks for that…

I admire it when people are going for their dreams. Instead of complaining at home.

A lot is possible with the right mindset and support system/

You’re right.

You know sometimes dreams are so big that you don’t want to stop yourself after going for them.
If it makes sense what I wrote!

I think people overestimate what they can achieve in the short run but underestimate what they can achieve in the long run.

It’s about getting those habits right one by one and then being consistent enough over time to see the results.

But you should enjoy every step of the way. Every level of success (if that is what you want of course) has its benefits and downfalls.

I couldn’t agree more.
The journey of reaching dreams has to be interesting:)

Just make sure it’s the right dream you’re after that matches you.

In my first career I was after money and a corporate career. I was successful at it but didn’t really like it. It’s surprising how you can lose yourself in a game and social pressures when you are in it. It’s better to chose right from the start.

I hope that you can find a right organization where you can be a journalist for. Some popular media outlets are simply cut-throat and not nice places to work at.

I know what you mean. @Jonathan2
Sometimes I worry whether writing is my dream at all.
But it comes back to my mind everyday.
That’s how I realised it’s truly my dream…

And yup, journalism can suck.
But hopefully I will learn here what I want to do the most - to write better.

If you’re a good writer you can do ample of things!

But there will be competition from AI. I hope that in your Masters you’ll learn how to use it as a tool that can improve your writing.

I hope the same.
But I actually already know how to do certain things with AI!
