Has anyone here seen an owl in the day time? Did anything happen?
When I was about 12 years old my dad took me and my sisters camping in the Sierras. We took our dog with us who was half beagle and half basset hound. She was a small dog and one day we were all hiking through the forest and we saw a huge owl perched in a tree. Our dog always wanted to play fetch and we wanted to see what the owl would do if it saw our dog so we threw a stick under the tree the owl was sitting in and our dog ran after it. It saw our dog and swooped down towards her; it was huge with a huge wingspan and it went right for our dog but we all started yelling and waving our arms and luckily it scared it off or I guess our dog would gave been its next meal. Yeah, we shouldn’t have thrown that stick near the owl but it seemed like a good idea at the time.
