I wonder why he was out in the day, so close to a parking lot and people and so fearless when there’s the whole forest nearby to roam into. Seemed odd to me. Owls are my spirit animal!!

Did he look hungry? Maybe he needed to hunt.

Do you like birds? , the animals

that’s a good guess because he could probably get a clear opening on a chipmunk in the parking lot but no he really didn’t seem like he was trying to hunt. more like trying to sleep and he was pissed off when I woke up. He seemed confused. I thought for a second maybe he wants someone to help him because he’s injured or something but then I was like nahhhh that can’t be the case.

Yes I’ve liked birds for some years now. I have a fascination with birds. So does @Wave I know. I especially like the birds of prey and corvid family. But I like all birds. They’re awesome.

I absolutely love birds even the pigeons that are considered rats with wings here lol but I don’t like seagulls.

I like Seagulls a lot actually. Pigeons are cool but I like seagulls better. I was hoping this would be a good book but it wasn’t my favorite

Ahh … I’ve read this book called the Tao of pooh and the te of piglet. Wisdom through Disney characters lol it’s not even the same topic but your book reminded me of it

I’ve heard the Tao of Pooh is good.

Osho writes about Taoism and eastern philosophy mostly. This was the first book I read by him and also my favorite.

I think by the time I got to The Man Who loved Seagulls I was so sick of reading that type of stuff that it made me bored

But I read like 5 books by Osho in a month span in January then got sick of him.

Do you think because maybe he’s explaining the same thing in , same philosophy in different ways ?

Yeah partially that. That’s a good point I never really thought of it like that. But I also think I learned enough, that now I can just focus on living it rather than obsessing over it and whatnot. I don’t think Buddhism and Taoism and eastern philosophy is meant to be studied over your entire life, just get the core values, then pick up bits and pieces as you go by living it. idk.

If that’s what it is for you , it’s perfectly ok. Even Buddha , he advocated you to pave your own way if you feel it’s right for you.
