Weekend is finally here for me and don’t know what to do with myself feel drained from the 12hr shifts
Will go sleep in two and a half hours.

No, I just take care of things around the house and do the shopping

That’s cool still keeping busy. II was lucky the doctor I had encouraged me to work and labelled me high functioning
Making more money with schizophrenia than I did before .

That is so great, I worked most of my life but I’m happy for the break right now to take the time to get my health back on track and make some meaningful recovery but maybe I’ll go back to work in the future.

What work would you like to do?

I spent a lot of time in mortgages but I think I’ll go back into social services when I go back to work. I spent 5 years as an eligibility specialist and I really enjoyed it until I went psychotic. But I wasn’t properly medicated at the time. Now my meds are good so I think I could handle the stress of the job better. It’s so satisfying to help people in need. I love it.

That sounds interesting many you could do some volunteer work coz you’d probably enjoy it. I miss when I worked as a counsellor

Oh you were a counselor? How cool. What type of counseling did you do?

I did career counselling at the university of south Africa but we also dealt with trauma and personal issues impacting on studies

Yea it does
When I reach financial independence and don’t need to work anymore I’ll go back to university and become a research psychologist

I have Sunday and Monday off so pumped. I switched with a co worker to work today. Usually I never get 2 days off in a row. I have to work 3 days in a row. But I’m pumped for work tnite actually it should be fun

I work four days a week 11hr shifts and then hit the overtime to make extra.
