I am weaning off Aristada 441 mg by stopping it as my dr said before. I still have not been successful to find any dr who helps me in this journey further. Any info about how to deal with later withdrawal side effects is appreciated.
Thank you.

Are you weaning off it slowly or quitting cold turkey? Not too good to just stop taking it abruptly.
I think it’s an injection that lasts for 2 months. So it would probably be pretty slow.
Oh, I read it so fast the dosage didn’t register. Thanks @anon9798425.
Yes injection of 441 for 1 month. But 1 month is finished and I am not injecting anymore. Is this the right way to quit? Do you know how long it would take to get flushed out completely?
Thank you for your help.
I weaned off Abilify pills 20mg. It has a half life of 75hrs and I read that it takes up to 5 half lives to leave the system. I think injections take longer so maybe a month or more.
When did you stop? Did you experience any side effects?!
My Dr stopped my meds for 2yrs, 2014-2016. I was hospitalized for psychosis after 2yrs of being off meds.
That’s how I came off Aristada. I had no withdrawals. It took a long time for it to fully leave my system. I hit the 1 yr off day several days ago, my FB memories had my last day saved.
I began feeling more like my old self in December.
Did you have schizophrenia and weaned off? Didn’t you hear voices after you stopped injecting or any other symptoms?
Did you hear voices all 2 years?
I understand that you didnt have withdrawal side effects, what about schizophrenia? Did you hear voices or had any difficulty?
Not all but after a few months of stopping meds I started having symptoms.
Check survivingantidepressant for withdrawal symptoms. I would be alert if I relapsed instead of experiencing withdrawals
No. If I had, I’d be back on them.
Thank you for the reply. Did you have schizophrenia and it recovered or it was not schizophrenia?
I have schizoaffective. Bipolar type. I don’t know if it is recovered, but it seems to be in remission, though I still have bipolar symptoms
Sorry hope everything gets better with finding more peace inside, dont you think it would help? Just knowing what you want from life and ignore whatever noises?
I remember I stopped noises for the first time I heard it after withdrawal because I told it I dont want to hear you anymore but I also again went on antipsychotics. So thats why I am not sure if it 100 perc worked or not
Ah ok I wish you all the best thank you so much for your replies, they are indeed heart-warming!
Well off meds the voices and symptoms weren’t 24/7, more like 60% of the time. Now on meds I never have voices or symptoms.
