We know more than the pdocs

We know more than the experts/pdocs lol. But seriously we have experienced way more than the pdocs and experts, I would rather get advice from someone who has experienced life problems than not be experienced with life problems. But the experts and pdocs might be better with prescribing and knowing the medicines. It is better to have both. A counselor or a pdoc that has experience with MI. I saw a counselor around 7 years ago, and she had panic attacks and depression.

We really don’t.

I would like to get advice from someone who’s experienced with dealing with those with M.I.

My caseworker from the EPI (Early Psychosis Intervention) program took Ativan cuz she had frequent panic attacks.

No one’s perfect.

Sorry I meant to say “We have more experience than the pdocs do in the title of this thread”, and in the first sentence.

We know more about how it feels and what it’s like, but they know more about how to treat it.

I have a peer support specialist who has mental illness but now works and does well. It is helpful talking to her.

My pdoc is not mentally ill but has severe physical illness so she understands what it’s like to navigate the healthcare system. She’s very helpful too

:100: facts and people who have never had a episode have said some of the stupidest stuff to me like when I used to have a lot of manic episodes I was “faking for attention”

Also I think if they did have a episode they never would say that…ever
