We eat a lot of haddock in Scotland. What fish is served where you are from?

Cod, monkfish, salmon, haddock.
I love American-style monkfish (I don’t know if it’s a really American recipe but it’s called that.)
I like ray a lot. My mum was cooking it very well.
We eat salmon from Scotland, Ireland, or Norway.

Personally, I only eat fish that come from the ocean. No lake or river fish. I have to say that there are few in the stores anyway.

I’m not a fan of fish. We have a lot of fresh fish here but it really tastes gross most of the time. I like raw fish though.

Seafood in general, I like prawns, lobster, crawfish, crab. Don’t like shells, including oysters. Nasty stuff.

Love caviar though.

Tuna, mackerel, sardines and anchovies are really revolting. Ugh. If you served me that I wouldn’t even touch it.

Dolphin is alright but you need to make sure it’s tuna friendly.

I’d say it’s unethical to eat something as intelligent as a dolphin.

But the one I ate blew his rent money on scratch off tickets.

Nom.

We had a fisherman selling his wares on the seafront for years. I used to watch him go out at high tide at 4am out the window. Used to get some wicked crab. Im pretty sure its all Haddock on the south coast of the uk here.

You can get good fresh product if you live on either coast, but those of us in the prairies especially need to avoid what is being called “fresh.” It isn’t. The fishier it tastes, the older the fish.

i think people also eat bass and blue gil but never seen it in a restaurant, you’d have to catch those yourself. my nephew really likes to fish, he would know more about local fishing than me.
